This year we have sailed in some fantastic places, with some strong winds and at times no wind, good weather and horrible weather.
I have done only 3 Day Skipper practicals in Scotland on the Clyde, with a total of 12 people doing the practical course and another year of good pass rates. We have visited some new places on the Clyde this year, the weather has been quite mixed with winds of 25-30 knots on one of the courses, you certainley learn how to sail and gain usefull experience and confidence with these high winds. Thanks to Tim at Sail Training for You for his organisation and well prepared yacht, we hope to be back next year.
Other places we have visited with groups of people are - Thailand, where we had some good sailing, excellent food with freshly caught prawns most days, 4 frightening thunderstorms whilst at anchor in the night time. - Sicily, where it was also very windy, we visited the volcanic islands to the north east of Sicily, these were beautiful islands with some good walks and sights to see, the flora and fauna was magnificent been in full bloom it being earl spring. A week out of La Rochelle in the summer visiting the islands of Yeu and Re, enjoying the usaual French fair. We've still got Turkey to do in October.
Next year is coming together with plans to visit Cuba in February, Antigua Race Week in May, Athens in June + Day Skipper practical courses
